Selling your home this spring? here are 10 tips to improve your home curb appeal
There are occasions when an agent is showing properties and the client refuses to get out of the car to look at a particular home. What could have turned the client off? A lack of curb appeal.
This a problem that could be avoided most of the time, so here are 10 tips to increase the chance of getting a home buyer excited to see the inside of your home.
- Make sure there are no junks cars, refrigerator or other items just sitting in the yard. Get a dumpster and have these items removed.
- Cut the lawn and remove any excess grass. Nothing like a well groomed lawn, it gives the impression the property is cared for.
- Create a flower garden a mixture of annuals and perennials with a variety of colors.
- Clean your gutters, seeing plants grow out of a gutter is not only unsightly it is also a sign of neglect.
- Power wash the siding or paint if necessary.
- Make sure both the path to the front door and the driveway are well maintained.
- If there is a front porch don't use it for storage; making it hard to get to the front door.
- If the door looks funky replace it. Sometimes just a change in the door knob can make a big difference.
- Clean the window.
- Replace garage door if in bad shape.
These 10 tips not only will improve your home curb appeal, but will probably bring you an offer on your home sooner than later.
