I received an email the other day, one of the thousands of emails that I get from random companies marketing their Real Estate Services.  I'm sure you get them too.  There was one that actually caught my eye and instead of deleting said marketing email, I opened it and I'm glad I did.

Like so many of us, I signed up with Top Producer as a Contact Management Program.  I really NEEDED a contact management program. I tried ACT and WiseAgent, and they just weren't what I was looking for, so TP wrangled me in and low and behold I'm in a one year contract for $35ish dollars a month. Well after a month or so of playing with TP I realized that it's not really what I wanted - it's not easy to navigate and they get you with that one year contract. My contract with TP is up next month, so I have been in the market for a new Contact Management system and I think I've found it.  The email that I received this weekend was for MoreSolds.com. They are a brand new Contact Management site.  Here is what MoreSolds.com has to offer:

You can try the basic site Free until March 3, 2008 which comes with:

  • Up to 100 contacts
  • Web-based contact management - access your contacts anywhere you have computer access
  • Set up a buyer profile
  • Set up listings

If you like the site, you can sign up for the premium package for $9.95 which allows you to have:

  • unlimited contacts
  • Import/Export feature
  • Up to 10 ADDITIONAL USERS (add collegues, assistants, etc.)

Also in 2008, the site will be adding the following FREE features:

  • Print Lables
  • Activity Plans
  • Calendar

For an additional $9.95 (for each item listed) you can get:

  • A program that requests showing feedback
  • Email Campaigns
  • Newsletters

SOooo, you only pay for the services that you need.  And the best part is, there is no contract.  The services are billed to you on a monthly basis!  If you're not happy with TP and you are looking for a change OR if you are a new agent and are looking for a Contact Management System that will grow with you, give MoreSolds.com a try. They are letting you try the basic package for free until March 3, 2008.

Finally, let me close by saying that I am not affiliated with MoreSolds.com in any way. I'm just a Realtor® who found a great product and wanted to share it.

Hi Kelly:  Good post!  I am still pretty jazzed about TOP PRODUCER, although I did try and then disbanded their MARKET SNAPSHOT.  Could not justify the extra cost; didn't get anything whatsoever off of it (but then again I didn't go overboard marketing it, either).

My assistant knows TOP PRODUCER inside and out, so switching would be tough.  After all the features are added, please let me know what you think.

Thanks, and good luck!!

I will check this out also and let everyone know my thoughts. I was familiar with Agent Office, back when I was an Administrative Assistant and have heard oodles about Top Producer, but also didn;t like the year contract issue. I have a friend who uses an Outlook addon called RESPOND.

I'm going to take a look at this also.  I've used most of the CRM programs out there and always seem to go back to outlook.  I hate having to maintain multiple databases, one for client contact and notes, one for marketing mailers, one for e-marketing...

Dee & Bob - I definitely think this site is worth checking out. It doesn't have all the bells and whistles yet, but they're not far behind.

You can try out Market Leader as a contact management tool. I've heard many agents sing praises about how easy it is to use, how they like the automated drip campaigns and reminders. Be sure and explore the WebCapture feature that let's you put links on your website to capture prospect information that is instantly placed in your Market Leader. www.marketleader.com

Hi Kelly,

I see the last post you made about this was in February, it is now December.  Is it still working out?  I just posted a call for help or advise about this very topic.  I am ready to try something new and so far what you posted has me intrigued about MoreSold.com.

My Top Producer issues were mostly due to its lcak of user friendliness.  I am looking for something that will organize my contacts and do simple drip e-mail campaigns or at least reminders.

Great post, thanks for sharing your opinion on this topic.

Kelly,

I was wondering if you have stuck with MoreSolds?  Product looks interesting.  We sell a competitor called RealtyJuggler.  The cost seems similar as do the features - although that assuming that they finished all the features you were talking about as pending.  if you are looking for a comparison with another product you might want to check us out.

We offer a 90 day free trial.

If you like the software, it's $99 / year.  We do charge by the year, but that's mainly because we just don't believe in monthly charges.  I used to work for AOL, and we used to say our best customer was the one that never signed in.  You see, what happens, is that once you sign up for  a service like that, and forget about it, you might go for years before noticing the monthly charge on your credit card bill.  So, we just don't do that - you purchase a year subscription.  After the year, you have to pay again.  We don't automatically charge you - we just think its more straightforward for all involved.

Sincerely,

Scott Schmitz

This is for all who use Contact Managers.

Hope you will find this information useful.

It's such a tedious task to transfer leads/contacts manually into your Outlook. What do you do when you have a huge list of contacts/leads and you want to transfer them into your Contact Manager (Outlook, Excel, ACT!, REA, SalesForce.com, Top Producer, etc)? The only way to transfer the contacts/leads are by manually "Copy-Pasting" them in the contact manager.

You must be thinking, why hasn't anyone introduced a tool to automatically capture and transfer the leads/contacts in the contact manager?

GOOD NEWS!!! There is a tool available in the market and it does much more than just transfer contacts into your contact manager. It can even pull contact lists from any Internet source - name, email, address, fax, phone, website, etc.

ListGrabber is the most popular tool used by Top Real Estate Agents to increase their productivity and sales. Having a tool like ListGrabber can make the work life of an Real Estate professional easy.

ListGrabber is used by agents of RE/MAX, Century21, Coldwell Banker, Keller Williams and many others.

Check out this Blog:

I am sure you will love this product.

We have a great product that would go with any CRM, it's the Dolphin dialer. All you do is highlight the phone number in your CRM and the software dials the phone number. We have versions that work with your current phone lines or you can our Voip service (phone service over a high speed connection). You pay per each call instead of having to sign a contract and monthly fee. Check us out athttp://www.evs7.com/dolphin-voip-power-dialer.php

Joel, I just wanted to let you know that there is another program tht syncs with outlook and that CRM is mark-it Advantage.  I am still learning how to use it most effectively, but it is a one time charge and you save to your hard drive and backup to a cloudor exteranl drive.  I wanted something where I did not have to keep paying month after month.  Check it out!!

Hello All,

Does anyone know of a software Except for TP, I don't like TP.

That can do the following:

1. Let me customize the snail mail letters to create postcard formats

2. Search my prospects by town or county instead of last name and street address.

Any suggests welcome.

Thanks in Advance...Lisa

There are so any that will do that! Feel free to give me a call.

I would like to take a moment to announce that my new book is out!

"Choosing and Using a Contact Manager or CRM".

“ It’s rare to find someone who understands both the Real Estate business and the intricacies of CRM software. Gary excels at both and has written the definitive book on selecting a CRM for our industry! Positively a “must read” before you invest the time and money into a CRM” -

If I can, I'd like to suggest IXACT Contact. It's a great easy to learn and use alternative to Top Producer and there is never any contract so you can cancel at anytime without penalty. Some of what IXACT Contact allows you to do is

1. Create drip marketing campaigns

2. Wirelessly sync the contacts in your database to your native address book on your smartphone

3. Keep a comprehensive business directory

4. View one-page contact profiles

5. Schedule automatic reminders to keep in touch

You can download a 5-week free trial here. I should also mention that the system works perfectly on the iPad and is fully Mac and Safari compatible.

Thanks!

I think drip email or auto email should obviously do all the work for you. It should be just so easy and after just a keep in touch call or monthly call

I find it ironic that I am adding to a post made by "the man" at IXACTContact, but I thought I would add a couple things to Rich G's post.that the people who I have using IXACTContact like are:

  • Rich mentioned the phone synch, but did not mention that it is in "real time", and does the same thing with Outlook.
  • It is very easy to learn and use, which by the way, are two different things.

I have consulted to the folks at IXACTContact and they do something that is pretty unique in this industry. They listen! What a concept! IXACT is one of my top favorites and I enjoy referring people to them when it fits their needs.

And now for the icing on the cake. I have negotiated a 60 day free trial, thanks to Rich :)
