Mardi Gras follows the Thanksgiving/Christmas/New Years doldrums.
It is the kick off time for the Spring market. The upcoming Spring break looms on calendars across the area. Families with children begin to think of making that move to a larger home. The IRS tax deadline is just around the corner and most people have received their W-2's and see how much a bite Uncle Sam is taking out of their earnings. The tax advantages of owning a home are more clear during this season than any other. It is a great time to be a real estate agent. We are needed.
Mardi Gras is the kick off for real estate agents getting back to basics and working with their sphere of influence as well as new prospects. It is a time to set aside the media hype (good or bad) and realize that regardless of any market condition - people are buying and selling homes.
