In Noth West florida we are able to use our pool April to October. Many people have screens over there pools. We like having a sunny open deck. The downside to no screen is that leaves and debris' find there way into the pool contiually. With a Polaris your pool is automatically cleaned. Each day for a pre-determined of time the cleaner propelled by water will use a vacuum type process therby cleaning the botto of your pool. I recommended this product right after I first review it. Now after a year of daily use 9500 Polaris is working perfectly. This is a strong recommend.
