New Orleans Jazz Fest Tips

Festival season goes into high gear beginning on friday for the start of the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival, otherwise known as Jazz Fest to locals. We've put together a Do's & Don'ts list for first timers and as a refresher course for savvy veterans & locals.

Jazz Fest DO'S

- Do wear a hat
- Do bring suncreen
- Do wear sunglasses 
- Do bring & drink water
- Do have a lot of fun
- Do eat crawfish bread & Pheasent, Quail & Andouille gumbo
- Do eat everything else besides the first two as the food is amazing.
- Do download the app into your smart phone and plan ahead the acts you want to see
- Do wear comfy clothes
- Do bring Cash



Jazz Fest DONT'S

- See the list above and don't forget to do those things
- Let beer count as your fluids
- Forget to bring a chair or blanket to sit
- Forget to take a look at the crafts
- Expect to get a cose parking spot to the Fest
- Forget to have fun!!!
