Active Rain; Actively Walking!
We have been trying to get healthy over the past few months ever since The Get Healthy In The Rain Challenge gave us the nudge off the fence we needed.
For the month of May we plan to walk a minimum of 45 miles around our neighbourhood. Now hang on we're spreading this out over the whole month which should work out to just over a mile a day.
To help us along we got the smart phone app mapmywalk, you can get it too and begin. It's a really detailed app with a GPS that tracks where you walk and for how long and it even gives you suggested routes. So there's no need to get bored with the sights change it up.
Want to join us? No, sorry there aren't any Active Rain points at the end of this challenge but you may just get a fitter, leaner and firmer body for the effort. Come on, misery loves company. Seriously though it's really not misery at all.
It's actually been refreshing. We're out in the great outdoors, meeting the neighbourhood residents and finding some interesting sights. You walk your neighbourhood, we'll walk ours and we can compare notes. What could be better?
