Green Spring Gardens Photographs by Dolores Kelley

 

Dolores and I like to photowalk through the gardens in our community and the region.  The photographs in this group were taken by Dolores during an April visit to Green Spring Gardens at 4603 Green Spring Road, Alexandria, Virginia 22312.  This is a 27 acre public garden.

Photowalking is good for your physical and mental health.  It is easy to set aside the problems of the day as you focus your attention and your camera on beautiful plants, flowers and spring blossoms.  The Canon PowerShot S90 camera is a small pocket camera that is very easy to carry.  You do not need professional equipment for photowalking.

These are wonderful shots of flowers by Dolores.  It made me realize that flowers are so much easier than photographing people, who need makeup, the right clothes and direction...LOL  Happy Sunday to both of you. A

I see that wonderful photographer's eye runs in the family. This is a great activity that you both enjoy together and I love seeing the results. Tell Dolores her pictures are wonderful. I need to take some time and do some photo walking myself...or at least something like that. It's been a busy few weeks, and I need to unwind.
