Time to Go Picking! Strawberry Farms in the Raleigh, Cary, Apex Area

Great Localism post!! I love strawberries and there is nothing better than picking fresh ones! Looks like Strawberry Farms in Raleigh, Cary, Apex Area are waiting for everyone to come on out! Good to see there are several choices!

From the farmers point of view...this works really well. From the consumers point of view....Its fun and productive...Good post

Craig, Tough to beat a freshly picked strawberry!  Used to do this a lot as a kid.  What my parents didn't grow themselves, we'd go to the U-Pick farms and harvest.  Bill

Love this time of year, Strawberries are much more affordable :)  Here in Michigan, not much of a season for it :)

I have never done this but boy does it sound fun...I would for sure sneak a few of course too!  Have a great day!

Craig -- I am soo looking forward to strawberry picking season!  This is a very nice localism post!  BTW, please send some warm weather to New Hampshire.

While I do love our local grown tropical fruits, I do miss really fresh strawberries, peaches and such.  The ones we get in the stores here are harvested so early they just don't taste the same as farm fresh.

I had no idea there were so many Strawberry farms in your area Craig.
