So Beautiful...so short lived.

Our flowering Crab trees are blooming.

Oh so pretty, but just for a few days.   I seems like every time they bloom we get rain.  This year, they are just starting to bloom as the rain is stopping.

Hopefully we will be able to enjoy them this year for more than just a couple days.

I think we have one of those in our new yard, I'll have to investigate tomorrow and report back.

That's the way I feel about my lilacs. The blooms are here for such a short time. I wish the shrub would bloom all year. The crabapple is a great pollinator.

I love flowering trees like these.  Would love to have a flowering dogwood.  But like you point out, the flowers don't last long.

It seams that every time these trees bloom, we get a hard rain and the blossoms are done.

That is the big problem with this ornamental tree...If they held ther flowers a few days longer and through the rain.
