Winning Best Uniforms
The best uniforms can come from so many ideas. You have the obvious time period outfits. 80's Hair Band outfits seemingly being the most popular. The 70's offer opportunities to bring back bell bottoms and hippie gear but do you really want to be putt putt-ing in jeans on a hot summer day? Who can forget the 90's and the emergence of "gangsta rap"? Thoughts of baggy clothes, bandannas and backwards hats come to mind.
The second most popular source of ideas comes from popular TV shows. Mad Men is a way to combine both a period theme with a television theme when trying to win best uniform. The popular showtime series Dexter would give putt-putters a chance to wear khakis and a comfortable Hawaiian shirt. Sons of Anarchy is a motorcycle theme that would give you the chance to rock some leather and bike gear on the tiny golf course. HBO's Game of Thrones provide a vast array of characters to emulate.
Finally, many great ideas could come from popular news stories and toe the line of being inappropriate. Browsing the 2013 major headlines could give you inspiration. Given the right materials and creative thought process, you could make uniforms based on baseballs ongoing steroid issues, Concussed NFL players, or even outfits mocking the once disgraced Tiger Woods.
