Lake Charles, LA will soon add a little more Vegas glamour with Golden Nugget and Pinnacle Entertainment acquiring equity interests of the Ameristar Casino project. (Of course this is all subject to being approved by the Louisiana Gaming Control Board and the Federal Trade Commission).

The Golden Nugget Hotel and Casino, which is currently under construction, is expected be one of the most luxurious gaming resorts outside of the Las Vegas strip," according to a news release from Golden Nugget and will be located right next door to the existing Lake Charles L'Auberge Casino Resort
The new Golden Nugget Casino property will contain nearly 800 luxury hotel rooms and suites, an 18-hole championship golf course, a world-class spa, retail shopping, a number of Landry's signature restaurants, and a one-of-a-kind pool and beach front and marina.
The Golden Nugget Casino and Resort is expected to open in 2014 and along with the opening will create new jobs in Lake Charles LA.
