What We Have in Common, Getting to Know Each Other Better-Contest

Ten things from my past you don't know about me:-

1.  I have travelled to the Sahara Desert in Northern Africa -Tunisia

2.  While in the Sahara Desert I rode a smelly camel. One hump not two.

3. I travelled to Switzerland on a school trip and ate bread and chocolate every afternoon as a snack for the month long strip.

4.  I travelled to Jamaica and climbed the slippery slops of Dunns River Fall, I was so scared it did not feel exotic.

5.  I use to participate in a roller derby in my later teen years. 

6.  I have been chased by a headless chicken.  In Jamaica, they buy the chicken fresh (that means alive) and kill the chicken when you get it home by putting a pan over it's head and chopping it off.  The body of the chicken still has life in it, and it chased me around the yard until it eventually died.

7.  I visited the "Old Bailey" on several occasion -  (I practiced criminal law when I lived in England - my birth country.)

8.  I always wanted twins girls ,but instead I have two great boys who give me twin grey hairs.

9.   I played the piano as a child and my music teacher smelled like old people (because she was about 100 years old).

10.  I always dreamed of becoming an actress because I love the old movies with Clarke Gable, Jimmy Steward, Tony Curtis and such like.  I love how they dressed in the 40s and 50s.  So smart.

Ten things about my present time:-

1.  I would love to honeymoon in Hawaii ( I watched the original Hawaii Five O with Steve Magarett aka Jack Lord and fell in love with him and the islands. I was sure I as going to marry him when I grew up.  He's dead now.)

2.  I would love to sail on a yacht and not be seasick. (Crossed the English Channel on several occasions and choppy waters call for a choppy stomach. Once the trip was so bad that many of us on the Ferry were sick and as the Ferry rolled to the left so did the vomit.  As the ferry rolled to the right so did the vomit again.  This is the original hot mess.)

3.  I would like to write and publish a book

4.  I would love to sing a duet with Donnie McClurkin

5.  I am sick of dieting. I wish I had the guts to do liposuction.

6.  I would like to write songs.

7.  I would love to go on a Safari in Africa but a 5 star trip in a hotel in the desert - why see below.

8.  I hate  flying insects, bugs and creepy crawlies with a passion. (Yes I do live in Florida but I have my exterminator on speed dial.)

9.  I love to help people get back on their feet.

10.  I love when another cooks for me.  Yes I an cook but food taste better when another cooks it.
