The Red Hook real estate update and homes for sale report for July revealed 12 new homes for sale, ranging in price from $137,900 – $1,495,000, two of the new listings were over a million dollars and were located on the same street.

How did Red Hook real estate this July compare to last year?

As you can see from the chart below there were 3 more sales this July than in 2012.  However last year 2  million dollar homes sold, therefore the  average sale  and list prices were much higher.  At the same time it was good to see the days on market almost cut in half this July.

Jennifer looks like number of sales and DOM are all going in the right direction, but the list and average price are way off.  Is that because there was one or two sales in 2012 that really skewed the figures?

Jennifer, you do a great job explaining the Red Hook NY real estate market. I am always surprised at the number of agents who don't really understand the real estate market they sell in. There is NOTHING like doing a market report to get a deeper understanding of what is going on.
