Interesting post - I read somewhere yesterday, I think it was Steve Forbes in his latest editorial that the US is something like 17th in percentage of home ownership! I don't think we'll ever be first, nor should we, because we are such a mobile society and real estate is a long term proposition, but I don't necassarily agree with some "experts" who tell us we have too high of a home ownership percentage! Maybe too high of a debt percentage, but not homeownership!
