Transaction Management Online - Give me the Skinny!

By
Real Estate Agent with McCarthy Real Estate PA# RS294585

I was reading the latest online article from Realtor Magazine and came across this list of web-based transaction solutions (see below).

I find it very tedious to track every piece of paper in the transaction without an assistant. One of the first things I am going to do when I reach the first level of Millionaire Real Estate Agent is hire an assistant. In the meantime, I wonder if any of these online transaction managment services could be useful.

I spend at least an hour making copies of my file and dispensing here, there, and everywhere. You know, title company, administrator, client, and co-op agents are clammoring for the file, but I am the one standing at the copier wasting my black ink cartridge, consequently $$$. Last week I faxed the file to the title company (all 51 pages) and it took forever. Plus I had to do it three times because my fax machine kept saying there was a paper jam on the other side.

If everyone could access the file online and just go print it themselves, would it be worth it? And is it easier, or am I making things even more complicated?

Is this the next best thing to an assistant or just another moneymaker for someone? LET ME KNOW PEOPLE!

Interesting; sorry I don't have any experience on it or I could give you some input.  I'll look forward to any answers as well.  I know that one of the title companies in town uses online management but when I tried to access my files, it wouldn't allow me in.  I tried a few times and then gave up.  I'm not sure it has really caught on.

Our local office has gone paperless as we scan all documents into our Market Center Administrator. The Transaction Management software we have provided by our MLS no one seems to use.

Jennifer, I don't know anyone that uses anything like it other than the top producer's transaction management and I really don't know anyone that uses that to covey it to other parties.

Gary, That is perfect that you can scan it in to your MCA. That would be so helpful to me since it is 51 pages of paperwork. I wish I could do it here. You can add documents on our MLS too, it's a new feature, but I don't really use it other than for a seller's disclosure or condo docs.

Hi Stacey...I just finished taking the e-PRO course. In the course I was introduced to the RELAY Transaction Management System. It appeared to be a really good program that should soon be the norm for our daily business practice. No more making copies, trying to get a copy here & there. Everything is available to everyone involved in the transaction right online.

Well Stacey,

I am in the process of revisting my Transaction Management System (TMS). I've used RELAY and I really like the price. However, I want to make sure I keep my options open. AgentWise seems interesting, especially since it is $19.95 per month to use and is Web-based. I would like to obtain a free trial just to have the opportunity to "play" with the program first. Thanks for the blog on this! TMS really does save a bundle of time!!!
