Making Appointments for showing homes

The last 2 days I have been trying to make appointments to show houses.  I picked 8 houses to show 4 on Saturday and 4 on Monday.

So far I have only received confirmation on 2 for Saturday and 1 For Monday.

There has to be a better way to do this.  Im Getting the feeling my buyer thinks maybe Im avoiding some of the homes. It seems the 2 that she really wants to see have some kind of issues.

Is this normal.  Lately, It seems almost impossible to get into all the homes.  It just takes the home buying and searching process longer. 

I remember you could make 6 appointments in 1 day and showed them all and be done in less than 3 hours.

I can't get more than 3 appointments in one day.

My office uses "Showing Desk". My broker's wife is the office manager and even when the office is closed the phones are forwarded to her cell.  She answer's it I believe up until 9 pm and on the weekends, so if it is one of our listings...someone always is there to help.

It is frustrating though.  I once called an agent and got chewed out for calling her while she was on vacation in Europe, how was I to know?

Valerie , we all have to deal with clients who miss appointments or cancel last minute so I understand where you are coming from. I am not in real estate but still have those same problems. Val, that's happened to me often. Sometimes people work crazy hours and it's hard to find a "common ground".  Other times, when they finally contacted me I would find out there was an offer in the process and the listing  agent would end up telling me that we would be a backup, etc.

you are so right i totally agree with you & i mean you have to go thruogh a long process to call showings & they have to get back to you i think it is much better to call the agent directly this new system is not really great
