It is nine ine the morning in Collegedale, Tennessee in Hamilton County Tennessee. It has been snowing since about seven this morning. My dogs are out and loving it. There does not seem to be any accumulation anywhere except on the grass and parked cars. I have been watching the Weather Channel and it appears that the same type of conditions will extend down to almost Atlanta where I am heading. I just received a weather alert on my computer warning of freezing rain and ice on the roads on the Cumberland plateau. This is a worthwhile service that I signed up for. Whenever a weather alert is issued by the National Weather Service I receive an email notifying me. I can sign up for other areas as well. I would like to hear from everyone around the Southeast region and see what is happening in your world.

Hi Gayle, I am in Ball Ground Ga., which about 50 miles north of Atlanta, and it has been snowing hear also for a couple of hours. However, no accumulation, and is fizzling out. Talk about wacky weather! Last night a tornado touch down in Douglasville, 78 miles west of us, and this morning snow??? Go figure!

IT IS HORRIBLE HERE. I have ice everywhere. And it is still pounding snow. We already have about 4-5 inches ( I woke up to it this morning) they are calling for another 1-4. Our winter warning as far as I know is still until noon for snow accumulation. The roads are pretty bad. There have many accidents. 70 North coming off of East Mayland is a sheet of ice and you cannot get up the hill, although going down would probably be easy. I am looking for spring.............especially since we set our clocks ahead this evening.
