These company's can charge upwards of hundreds and hundreds of dollars.They will appeal to people with low credit scores and offer to fix the credit for a fee. Most do not or help you at all or take too long to do so. Or some company's have just plain disappeared with your cash.The truth is they can not remove items that are accurate. they can not remove new or fresh items being reported. Bankruptcies stay on for 10 years.... Late payments are reported as lates.. No Payments are reported... Judgements yes they too are there...
Well it is not all dome and gloom. Just know it took some time to get a bad or low credit score. And it is going to take some time to fix it. be smart and work hard. You can do this and it will cost you nothing!!!
Step One.. gather all your bills and . You need to know what you owe to every creditor. I know this is painful but do it. Remember to get them all. Mortgage, credit cards, electric, gas, phone, cable,Internet,cell phone, car payments, and so on. Open those bills and find out exactly what your balances are and note the due dates...
Step Two... Are there late payments? Call these company's and Talk to them. Get a plan to pay them off or become currant. They will work with you.
Step Three... Pay On time... EVERY TIME ...Even if you can not pay the entire amount pay on time.. If you are not going to make the entire payment call the company and ask them if there is a plan of action to help you.
Step Four... Get your credit card balances paid down. Credit reporting company's will look negatively at you if you have 3 or 4 accounts charged to the max.. And not paying back in large amounts. They want to see you can handle credit. Keep several cards open and pay every month on time and keep the balances down. But do have a balance that you are working on.
Step five.... Live within your means... This means if you need to cut off the cable do it. Eat dinner in..Try packing your lunch.. No weekends out... Spend nothing until you have your bills in check... And currant.
Now all this is going to take some time. But my guess is if you work this plan and are serous you can greatly improve your score in months....
It takes dedication on your part. And it is not easy. If you can not manage all this on your own have a family member or friend help you. Make notes on your calender. Work a part time job. Just become proactive... It can be done and it will not cost you anything but time...
