Inserting a Video in Your Blog Posts
Okay, the Active Rain contests push you to learn something so here you go. The challenge is three local videos of fun things to do right around you. I hardly have to travel minutes to be at three wonderful boardwalks in the two Towns of North Beach and Chesapeake Beach Maryland.
Inserting a Video in Your Blog Posts.
I had a question earlier today about how to insert a video and I almost forwarded a blog that I wrote back in January, except that the procedure has changed slightly since then and it does not seem to be working for me anymore.
After consulting with Kerrie this morning before posting the Summer Video Challenge, I discovered why my video's have not been loading for the last few months, so I will share the new and simpler procedure with all of my friends here in the Rain.
Step 1, decide which video you would like to insert in your blog, the one that I am using for an example is not my own so I cannot use it for the contest but it will work well for this blog.
While in Youtube either grab the url from the top of your browser or click the share button and copy the url code that it presents for you. Note the old method was similar to this except that we grabbed the "embed code" instead of the url address.
Step 2, decide where you would like to put the video within your blog, and place your curser there.
Step 3, click the video button on your AR toolbar.
Step 4, paste the url address into the url box.
Step 5, click the Insert button, then shout Yippeee, because your video should be showing up in your blog.
This method should work for vimeo and other videos as well.
