So here we are in the last days of summer, what is one to do? No worries, here in Ventura there is plenty to do, below are just a few events one can attend.
Ventura Beach Party
Ventura Beach Party is a two day beach festival held September 7 and 8 at the Ventura Promenade.
The Beach Party will feature a variety of live local bands, free kids activities, beach games, food trucks, food vendors, beer garden, art & crafts booths, sports and local vendors.
The Ventura Beach Party is part of the Ventura marathon and half-marathon.
Central Coast Comic Con "C4"
The first annual Ventura Comic Con is a fantastic event featuring a weekend full of activities, guests from film, television, pop culture and comic book artists and creators, as well as local talent. Guests already confirmed include Manu Bennet (The Hobbit, Spartacus, Arrow), Miracle Laurie (Dollhouse), comic book legend Richard Starkings, and many more.

Classics on the Coast
Classics on the Coast is a classic car hot rod show hosted by "ATRA and Horsepower for an Hour" radio show.
The car show takes place on September 7, 9am to 3pm Main and California Streets, Downtown Ventura, CA 93001. Rain or shine.
Ray McClelland owner of FTK in Oxnard and from the TV show Car Warriors on SPEED will be picking his favorite car and presenting his award to the winner. He will be on hand to sign autographs as well.
The show is free and open to the public to view cars.
Aloha Beach Festival
Aloha Beach Festival returns and features two full days -September 14 & 15- of arts & crafts vendors, live performances, K9 Frisbee, C-Street Longboard Classic, Frisbee Outrigger, paddle board races and a beer garden.
C Street Classic Surfing Contest
The C Street Classic Surf Contest celebrates over a quarter century of surf stoke this September 14 & 15 at Surfer’s Point in Ventura.
The contest, held in the waves off Ventura’s beautiful promenade, isn’t just for surfers. Vendors and artisans sell everything from surf wear to locally crafted clothing and jewelry. The Ventura Surf Club, which hosts the event, sells contest posters and t-shirts.
Also known as C-street, Surfers Point is located between the Crowne Plaza Hotel and Ventura County Fairgrounds.
Ventura’s quaint city charm and relaxed beach lifestyle make it the perfect place to spend these last few weeks of Summer.
Take a second to sit on the shore, throw your cares away, or walk down Main Street and enjoy the hustle and bustle of a much needed shopping trip.
