Park Hill Home Tour 2013

The 2013 Park Hill Home Tour is landing this year on Sunday, September 22nd, featuring two prominent homes on Forest Parkway and four other amazing Park Hill homes. Festivities will include a street fair on Forest Parkway from 19th Avenue to Montview Boulevard. The street fair will hold booths for restoration and renovation contractors as well as food and crafts! The 10:00 AM fair starts an hour before the tour going from 11 AM to 5 PM.

One of the featured properties include 1750 Forest Parkway. This 1929 English Tudor Revival home was designed by the architects Burnham & Merrill Hoyt, the original designers for the Park Hill Denver Public Library and Red Rocks Amphitheater. This home boasts 5000 square feet, 16 foot ceilings, and has been renovated in some areas to preserve the original character of the house.

Second of the featured properties is 1790 Forest Parkway. A Ruderman home, holding 4088 square feet, was designed in 1931 by architect Gilbert Charles Jaka. Jaka was the original creator of the Cruise Room Bar in the Denver Oxford Hotel. The home features many Art Deco details.

1610 Grape Street - A 1936 Tudor home hold over 1600 square feet. The new finishes and urban accents make the home feel even larger!

1936 Hudson Street - A 1928 Tudor home, though empty for several years has been purchased and renovated to restore the splendor of this home.

4909 E 23rd Ave - Built in 1911 this Denver Square has been restored to show its elegance. Original stained glass windows in every room and period paint colors show the stateliness of this beautiful home.

2245 Dexter St - A 1400 square foot bungalow build in 1913, this home has been renovated and expanded to 3000 square feet. Though the area has been expanded the original design has been kept in the new rooms!

Child $5 (ages 6 – 12)
Senior $10 (65+)
Children under 5 and under are free
