So last week we were fortunate enough to be joined by a former client and Bucks County Housing Group. .
This week the Real Estate News was pretty robust compared with the last few weeks. With the Federal Reserve having held on “tapering” all eyes are now on the budget impasse and the debt ceiling. With each side looking at their necessary agenda rather than the American people the rates are again volatile. So let’s start with home prices continue to rise. This is obviously a great thing. Prices are up 12.4% over a year ago. The month over month was slower than the previous month. The question now is did the rise in interest rates slow the sales down? New home prices continue to climb and this stat says no! Interest rates are not affecting sales. The Case Shiller study is based on the closing date and New Home Sales is based on Contract date. And let us end the news with a story that tells me I was right all along. Bank of America needs to change its name. They have no right to use the name of this great country if they continue to treat Americans the way they do. Bank of Not My America is being fined by the department of Labor for job discrimination from 1993 through 2005. The judge found them guilty of “unfair and inconsistent selection criteria.” Shame on you! Change your name.
