Growth is the outcome of learning process.
We all learn something new everyday. It started when we learned to crawl and then walk and then run. It started with learning to speak a word, a sentence and then learning a whole new language. It started with learning the basic math, to addition subtractions to understanding a profit and loss statements - the key to successful business.
Learning is very closely associated with growth. The same way, as the change is. Learning leads to change that eventually leads to growth - in most cases, as we fail forward - and not give up.
Learning never ends - or if it ends, we stop growing.
I have come a long way from a novice in a real estate business to a point where I comfortably can say, yes, I know a lot about my real estate business.
At times, these learning opportunities were fruitful and at times painful. Nonetheless, wherever I am at this point, it would not have been possible without learning. I want to admit here, ActiveRain has been a major contributor for my growth in last few years.
One tool that has remained unchanged all these years - and helped me grow in my business is - stay connected.
That simply means - stay in touch with everyone. Call them. Text them. Talk to them. Meet them. Send them something that they'd value. What is called 'TOP OF THE MIND AWARENESS'!
One basic rule that has helped me grow my business is - ask for referrals. It has always been a struggle for me in the beginning. However, coaching made me realize that by asking for referrals, I am just going to help one more person in my circle - with a side benefit of increasing the radius of my circle - or increasing the volume of my sphre of influence.
One feeling that has remained true from day one till now is - my integrity. There are times when I had to break the news that was perhaps not something they wanted to hear. However, the facts do not change by not stating it. Tell them not what they want to hear, tell them what is right!
One Mantra that has remained on top always, all the time - It's ALL about them!
Yes, you got it - it's not about me. It's about them. It's about People. Think of them and their needs - and success will follow automatically.
This model has helped my grow my business - and I am just looking at the sky because sky is the limit when you follow this model which helps....
