I've been tagged to find a hidden gem in the rain... and I didn't have to look very far.
Rob Muller caught my eye the other day with his post about how NOT to get leads.
Top 10 Reasons Not To Buy Leads
He seems to have learned, the hard way, that the folks selling leads don't always sell, well, leads. Or, even better, they've sold the same lead to 50 different agents!
His "Top 10" list was very readable. So readable that I took a look at the rest of his blog, which I don't always take the time to do!
Taking on Comcast on Behalf of My Client
Rob looks like a guy that would do pretty well for himself in a difference of opinion outside the building. It appears he's pretty good at standing up for his clients as well, which we learned about here. Go, Rob, Go!
And, another terrific post:
HTML for Newbies | Fancy Up Those Posts
I've learned a few things about HTML. I don't always take the time to insert code, and I didn't know how to change color until I read this great post!
So Rob, thanks for putting out some excellent stuff. I've subscribed to your blog, and now it looks like a lot more people are going to get to check it out!
And thanks to Eleanor Thorne, who tagged me to find a Gem in the Rain!
Eleanor's been doing some great work organizing Active Rainers in the Raleigh area. She put together our first official Active Rain evening, and has been busy sharing lots of great tips.
And now for my tags - two more lucky Active Rainers get to go find a Gem in the Rain and share with the rest of us!
I'm sure Brad's pretty busy with his brand new baby girl, but I'm going to add to his to do list. He's written some excellent posts on SEO that are clear and comprehensive.
Sheree has only been blogging for about a month, but has a great presentation and a great sense of humor, and already plenty of material out!
Tag, you're it!
Here are the rules again:
- Go find yourself a "Hidden Gem" in the Rain....a post or member that was not recognized that you feel should be noticed.
- Write a post about why you chose your particular member and/or post, include a link to their blog in your post, and tag 2 other members to do the same as you...
- Your blog title should include " Hidden Gem in the Rain "
- Post it to Hidden Gems in the Rain and Active Rain Newbies as well as any other groups you feel would fit the guidelines for this. Send an email with a link to the post you have written to the members telling them that they have been tagged and that it's their turn to do the same...and give back in the rain...as well as your "chosen" member to find another gem.
