Tip - How to Make Glass Sparkle

By
Services for Real Estate Pros with Retired Associate RE Broker

I have been dealing with decorating a home the past several weeks.  In that process I have discovered something that changed the cleaning process for me -- something that makes life easier.

When I go to a home to photograph for a listing I will be taking Dirtex Cleaner by Savogran and coffee filters with me!  I used to keep Windex and paper towels, and thought I was really smart.   I would have to use a lot of elbow grease to get the glass to shine and then I would have lint to deal with.

Well my handy Ace Hardware (view my Lessons In Customer Service Post why I am a raving fan) shared a secret with me and I am a believer.  This stuff is absolutely amazing and it works so easily.  Coffee filters are lint free and perfect size for you to work with!  Again, another example of cheapest isn't always the best -- the stuff is almost twice the cost of Windex.  That sometimes you spend a little more money but get better results.   Much like choosing your Realtor...

Coffee filters huh??

I'm rather reluctant to sacrifice a vital supply like a coffee filter for something that an old paper towel will do, but I'm going to try it.  No lint huh.  Worth a try for that 9 foot mirrow in my master bath.

Thanks.

Lenn -- trust me the stuff is great and the coffee filter was such a great little surpise when it worked so easily!   Who would have thought it?

Thanks for the tip;  I get so tired of the lint.  I will give it a try.  So do you buy the Dirtex at Ace?

I love your area of the country.  We visited several years ago & purchased a foreclosure time share. We got it to trade and never have a problem, although someday we will actually come back because we really did like the area.

Colleen,

That is great to know, going to pick some up.  I'll just bet newspaper will work also and be a lot less expensive than coffee filters.
