2 Reasons to End Your Lease in March

Thanks for joining me! Today I wanted to talk about when the appropriate time is to have your lease end as a landlord. The #1 best time of year to have leases end is March.

Why then? I’ll give you two reasons.

It gives you a certain amount of control. If you have a tenant who comes in January, you can then have a year and a couple months lease.

You can predict timing to put property on the market. If you ever choose to sell your property, the spring is the best time. I have a few clients who are looking to sell their rental property now, but it’s not the optimal time.

Over the past four years we have seen that prices expand at the beginning of the year and toward the fall they retract. While both are still good times to sell, the spring is the optimal time.

If you have any questions, please give me a call. Thanks for watching!
