Sumter County, SC Real Estate Market update for
November 22, 2013
Sumter SC home sales continue to move along at a slower pace than previous months. This is a normal trend in the Sumter area during the holiday season and winter. While Sumter county has had 48 properties close so far in November, there has only been 40 properties put under contract. This is an indicator December will be a slower month for closing in the Sumter SC real estate market. While 40 properties have been put under contract in November, 15 of those property are foreclosures or a full 37.5%! Leaving only 25 properties that are existing homes or new construction. Many times during the colder seasons you will see the investors out purchasing properties versus the owner occupied properties. I have seen this in the past years and I consider it a normal part of the Sumter SC real estate market cycle.
