Wayne County, Pennsylvania had a much better month in November, than last November - 25% more properties sold and were on the market for less time however the average sales price was down 12% so it seems that the buyers are still making out well with their purchase.  Here's the Wayne County Real Estate Sales Report for November 2013* with all of the details. Currently in the Pike Wayne Association of Realtors MLS there are 1,777 active (single family residence, condo/townhouses, PA state cabin - non foreclosures) listings. In Wayne County, there are 684 active listings. They range from a 240 SF Mountain Cabin in Newfoundland listed at $23,900 to a 5-bedroom, 5-bathroom Lake Wallenpaupack Lakefront listed at $3,933,000.

The average list price in Wayne County is $256,347 and $220,501 in Pike County so homes are listed higher in Wayne County but they stay on the market longer (257 days in Wayne vs 221 days on the market in Pike County). When the homes sell in Wayne County, they do sell for slightly more $157,018 vs $151,163 in Pike County. 64 listings sold in Wayne County during the month of November vs 57 in Pike. There are more active listings in Pike County (1220 in Pike vs 900 in Wayne) AND Pike County has more NEW listings for the month of November clocking in at 68 vs 53 in Wayne County.
