The most important thing to do when you want to sell your house is to allow buyers to come in to look at the house.
Buyers do not buy homes without looking at them. Infact you can tell how much prospective buyers love the house by the amount of time they spend in the house.
When I show homes to home buyers I can tell they do not like the house when they just go in and come out in five minutes.
Sellers should make it easy for agents to schedule appointments and unless there is a family emergency they should not turn down appointments especially a second appointment.
I was working with buyers last April and showed them several homes. They liked two homes.
The husband and wife each preferred a different home but would not mind either of the homes. Her Mother was coming over for Mother's day so they thought they would ask her opinion . I called to make appointments for both homes but for one of them the seller refused, saying it was Mother's day.
My buyers saw just the one house and bought it.
I can understand not wanting to show a home on holidays. However if it is a second showing try to cooperate especially if people are coming from out of town.
