It looks just like an email I have received from this particular agent before.  BUT...if I click the doc, it takes me to a site that wants me to plug in my email carrier, name and password.

FISHY...right?  Or, you might have a virus blocker on your computer that says:

Infection Blocked

URL:

http://rivierahomes.com.mx/language/dtrade/

Infection:

HTML:Phishing-AC [Trj]

Relax, your virus slayer just saved you from a virus.
Protect yourself against other types of threats by upgrading now.

I've also received this same kind of generic email that says, I've sent you a very important document pertaining to our transaction...and it wants you to open the attachment...

I've found when an email isn't specific, or the language isn't quite right...I'd just as soon call that agent, or email that agent OUTSIDE of this email, to see if they actually sent it.

Pushing reply to the actual email doesn't help...the re-router sends it to "whoever" and they implore you to open the doc.

Some people have nothing better to do.

Save your computer.

Save your information.

Protect yourself and your business.

It's amazing how many people don't think before they click on something like that...

I know so many people will click on it without stopping and thinking.

Most are so worried something is wrong and actually make it wrong.

Never open a link in an email that you were not expecting.

Cara-Clicking on a blind link is like opening the door to your home without knowing who's on the other side. No thanks.

Call a Marana neighbor, I'm THERE!

Carol - some times I think it's just instinct -- when we see something that appears familiar.

William Feela - interesting thought - I generally will cut and paste the email and send it to the original owner so they know it went out.

Fred - great advice

Wayne - I did that yesterday, expecting my mom and not looking first.  Got a meat salesman...but it could have been anyone.  :-|

GOOD MORNING CARA - I love what Wayne said, I don't click on anything unless I am sure I know who it's from.  Most of the "odd-scam" type emails look the same - but if you read it the words don't make sense so just delete.  If it was a true email from an agent, or escrow, or whoever, tht person will send another email or text that reads, "Did you get ...?"!
