What Does Home Staging Do?

Home staging is an important part of selling your Montgomery County PA home. It's a part of the strategy that gets your home sold. Real estate agents and home stagers recommend it because we know more buyers will like a staged home over an "as is" home. But why? What does home staging do?

It makes people want to see your house
When your house shows well in the MLS photos, people will put your home first on the list. Home stagers know how to spot those perceived negatives and fix it. So all your potential buyers see is a home they want to live in.

What Does Home Staging Do?

It creates a feeling
It's hard to describe the feeling you get when you walk into a staged a home. It's warm, welcoming, it just feels like it could be home. A home stager knows how to leave just the right amount of personal touch so a potential buyer can get that feeling and see themselves living there.

Increases your odds of selling
When your home looks appealing, potential buyers will want to see it. The more buyers you get through your front door increase your odds of selling. Some houses have to wait for that "special" buyer who can see past the clutter, bold paint colors and outdated furniture. A staged home attracts a larger number of people.

It neutralizes
It's important for a buyer to be able to see themselves living in the space. Family photos, knick-knacks, collectibles, bold paint colors and fake plants everywhere are just a distraction. Buyers wind up seeing your style and not your house. Neutralizing it so that buyers can picture their belongings is an important part of the home buying process.

What does home staging do? It's a lot of little details pulled together to make one very marketable house. It creates the environment for potential buyers to fall in love with your home.  If you want to sell your Montgomery County PA home more quickly, call or email Six Twenty Designs and book your home staging consultation.

Suzanne, I think you hit a key thing when you said the home looks nice in the photos. Doesn't matter how well it's staged if you don't have great photos.

Can't agree more. Interestingly, I came up with a definition pretty similar (idea-wise) to yours.
