Shred Days of documents will take place in Katy Texas on Saturday March 1, 2014 from 9 AM until noon. Bring boxes or any containers of old unwanted documents as these unwanted or needed items will be shredded for minimum donation of $5 to $10 per box. The event will take place at the McDonalds of Spring Green at the above address in Katy. This McDonalds is located on the corner of Spring Green and Cinco Ranch Blvd on the northeast corner. You can not miss this restaurant.
The concept is simple to bring boxes and bags full of unwanted papers, documents, bills, junk mail, magazines or whatever to McDonalds of Spring Green and they will shred all of these documents for you with no hassles or worries.
This event has become so successful it is being held on a quarterly basis and this is the 1 st quarter of 2014 shred day. I have posted about this event in the past as I think it is important one to support. Look at this situation from a home clutter standpoint as you are helping get rid of old files and miscellaneous stuff you did not know what to do with in the first place. If you need or want to put your home on the market to sell this could be the first step in a cleanup process. very Realtor should tell a home seller to get rid of clutter!
What I believe is the primary reason we all should support this event is all proceeds from this shredding operation will be given to the “Impact a Hero “charitable organization. This group helps severely wounded service women and men. In their own words taken from their web site: “ Impact A Hero is a non-partisan 501(c) (3) organization, created to provide a simple mechanism for individuals and corporations to help provide emotional and financial support for our severely wounded /disabled War on Terror veterans and their families. All Donations are tax-deductible.”
I personally believe for many years The US government unfortunately has not provided and never has provided the assistance it should to these wounded heroes. Shred Days is nothing but a total positive situation for all participants. At our home, I know we still have numerous old files in both my garage and study that need to be shredded. I will have to see if I can gather the old stuff and get it to McDonalds in time to help this fine cause.
