Once you've found the home you want, I recommend you visit the neighborhood several times,
During the day and during the night, on a weekday or a weekend.
Much of your comfort in your new home is going to come from the neighborhood itself and not just the house..
So make sure you like the area as much as you like the house.
In most cases, meeting the neighbors is a good idea.
Knock on at least a couple of doors, the one on the left and the one on the right. .
Explain that you're thinking of moving next door to them. .and simply aske them
their feeling about living in that neighborhood.
