Vail Real Estate Market Update March 2014
As the 2013-2014 winter season winds down on the mountain, the real estate market continues to strengthen.
FIRST QUARTER 2014 - Sales over $3 million:
In the first quarter of 2014 there have been 17 sales over $3 million, and there are currently 24 properties under contract. In the first quarter of 2013 there were 7 sales over $3 million.
FEBRUARY:
Land Title Guarantee Company's monthly statistics for February just came in today in their "Eagle County Market Analysis". According to LTGC: "A total dollar volume for February is $121,963,299 which brings the total year-to-date to over $225 million; 44% higher than 2013 year-to-date of $156,293,327. Transactions also remain high with 92 for February, bringing the year-to-date total to 199; 11% above last year through February, which was 180 transactions."
MARCH:
The real estate sales activity reported in the VBOR MLS for the resort communities of Vail and Beaver Creek during the month of March, 2014, are listed in our Vail Valley Real Estate Market Update March 2014.
Highlights:
- Two sales at the Four Seasons in Vail Village; one 3-bedroom closed at $4.3mil, one 4-bedroom under contract at $8.975 list price.
- Two properties at Solaris in Vail Village went under contract in March.
- A single family home on Forest Road in Vail Village is under contract, listed at $20,500,000.
