This is my first attempt at blogging, so if it looks like I don't know what I'm doing, that will be an accurate observation.
My wife and I are trying to downsize and reduce debt as we're "baby boomers" and would like to be in a position to travel etc. a few years from now. A part of our plan involves divesting ourselves of certain assets that require a monthly cash payment.
I have 2 lake front lots on Lake Greenwood S.C., both over an acre. One is in Grand Harbor Golf and Yacht Club. My lot is in The Plantations @ Grand Harbor and is in the Equestrian section. The lot is a little over an acre with a dock permit. The gated community features a Davis Love Golf course, Marina w/pool and Cabana, Tennis courts, and a Club house serving lunch and dinner. This lot is listed @ $229k
The 2nd lot is also a little over 1 acre water front non-dockable, in a small gated S/D called Terrapin Point on the west end of the lake. The lot is 3/4 level with a drop off to the rear so a basement home is possible. S/D has a community dock and picnic area. Electric is in and streets are paved. This lot is listed @ $59k.
I will sell both lots for $249k. As similar single lots in Grand Harbor are selling for that much, this is a real bargain!
