The Spirit of "Good Friday" opened Vegas Bob's eyes today ;o)
Vegas Bob was going to totally take the whole day off today, but ended up running downtown to take care of a errand.
When VB arrived downtown he parked and went to take care of business. Only to find out there was a line of people through the doorway onto the sidewalk. So VB turned around and went back to his car.
As VB was driving through downtown headed towards the freeway ramp, he was waiting at a red light. As VB looked over to the left he saw a young lady in her late 20s sitting on the sidewalk with a beat-up dirty bag, and torn up dirty clothes.
It looked like she was singing to herself, not panhandling or asking anyone for money. VB never gives money to panhandlers because in Las Vegas it's a business and some of them make up to 30-40K per year. But as VB looked over at her, he thought how sad on Good Friday, Easter weekend or any day for that matter to be homeless.
The light turned green and VB went down one block and pulled over to the right. Waited for the cars to pass and did a U-turn and drove over to the young lady. VB then rolled his window down and gave the lady a 20 dollar bill, and she said thank you sir ...
