REBSEA program enthusiastically embraced by local nonprofit organizationsMore than 300 Realtors and mortgage lenders across the U.S. and Canada have joined together to form a network that works with the supporters of Nonprofit Organizations when they are buying or selling a home. REBSEA members work with these supporters and at closing make a donation to a nonprofit in their community. REBSEA recently published their member directory on their website, www.rebsea.org , and its members began approaching the nonprofits in their communities to inform their supporters about the REBSEA program. Many nonprofits responded by sending emails to their supporters informing them that there now exists a network of real estate agents and mortgage lenders who donate part of their commission to nonprofits in their community. Many have added contact information for their local REBSEA Member to their websites, newsletters, and Facebook pages and even invited REBSEA Members to attend their events and meet with their supporters. One recent example of how this works is exemplified by REBSEA member Jack Ritoli, of Chino Hills California
He has been working with “Spirit of Sharinga southern California NPO focused on working with Active Military in Southern California. Rachel Walker from Spirit of Sharing stated” "It is an honor and privilege to work with Jack Ritoli, as a former Marine he understands the difficulties and trials that our military families face on a daily basis. Spirit Of Sharing is so thankful to our incredible volunteers, such as Jack, and we are so thankful that Jack made available this opportunity, to work with REBSEA, and help spread the word in our local community about the importance of assisting our local military service members and their families in their times of need".
Another response from one of our newest members in Westford, Massachusetts, Bob Camacho" Hi David,,I went to my first NPO in Westford, MA today. They were excited about the program & will send me a sample e mail of what they will send their database. I will be featured on their web & Facebook page & in their newsletter. If you would like a sample of what we will use, I can send you a copy when we put it together. Thanks!!!
