People often ask me how can I remain upbeat despite getting conked on the head more than normal some days? Really the answer is rather simple.
Just Get Used To Taking A Bunch of SHI*FT!!
That is SHIFT with an F. It really in all our lives is looking at things with a different perspective. You may be in a negotiation with a win-lose opponent and you shift it to "cooperative" and let them see that trying to dominate over you is not helpful. You play some what if games, painting a picture of what if we try this, what if we go this direction? And pursue that.
Even with annoyances, like, I can't find a close in parking spot at the shopping center. Well parking far, far away will give me more exercise today. Or this person is treating me horribly, and think I have been my best ME today and it is THEM not me, that they are so miserable. Or if they isolate from me for a time, well they are missing out on all my daily jokes, love, and attention they could be having. The fact in life is you can ONLY really control YOU, and keep SHIFTING your self talk to put a positive spin of what is happening INSIDE your head, sort of looking at life backwards, sleeping upside down like a bat.
It really gets you flying right this SHI*FT you work on. Take care of your own SHI*FT and life will work out just fine for you.
