Now is the time of year to get out there and clean out those gutters and downspouts- BEFORE the rainy season hits us.
If your gutters are working properly, and underground drainage is doing it's job- moving the water away from your house foundation, then you will most likely avoid an unwelcome wet basement.
Not working gutters and underground drains is the number one reason for wet or even flooded basements. If the thought of spending an hour or two on a ladder frightens you, then there are many willing companies and even college students who will do it for you, usually for a nominal cost. And the cost is well worth not having to deal with the alternative of a wet basement.
Don't wait until it's too late.
