On May 22, 2014, Kathryn Dobbyn of CoreLogic reported institutional investors overall acquired less properties, but they bought more properties in various regions.
Institutional investors purchased 7.8% of all total sales in Atlanta, Georgia metro area in March of 2014, higher from the 6.9% in February of 2014, and 4.8% from March of 2013. In addition institutional investors purchased more properties in Detroit, Minneapolis and Miami in March of 2014. However, intuitional buying decreased in Phoenix, Arizona, Charlotte, N.C, and in various areas in California and Florida markets. In March of 2014.
