Happy Father’s Day 2014 and Gift Ideas in Katy TX
All Father's, Grandpa’s and Great Grandpa’s, Step-dads and especially servicemen serving this great nation Happy Father's Day and I hope all of you have a truly fantastic day doing whatever it is that you want to do. Dads are usually very easy to please with gifts, cards, phone calls or whatever. Some dad’s will want to spend the day relaxing in front of the tube watching sports like World Cup Soccer or the US Open or just straight chilling by doing absolutely
nothing.
If you have not had time to get Dad anything here are some quick ideas from me for gifts.
1. Handmade cards from little children always brighten a father, grandpa, or great granddad’s or Step dad day. Later on and usually many times after a father will look this prize card and it will put a big smiled on his face. He will remember how wonderful it was to watch the excited kids give him their gift. If small children are not part the family go to the card store and buy dad a decent card. No a tweet, Email or text will not cut it even for the most Techie type of Dad.
2. Gift certificates always work for dads. All men like to eat and a gift certificate to his favorite restaurant will be remembered every time he uses the card. If he likes to splurge by buying a special drink at Starbucks or his favorite local coffee shop get him their gift certificate.
3. Does dad have a hobby or interest and if so buy him something he would not buy for himself. No I do not mean that same old tired looking golf shirt that is sometimes chosen as a gift. A gift certicate to his favorite supplier of goods for his hobby or interest will work just fine.
4. Does Dad like to take pictures? If so look for camera he would not buy for himself.
5. Find an old picture of him with his kids and have it framed.
6. Make him dinner consisting of something he really likes to eat.
7. Does he drink wine? Go to a liquor store like Spec’s and buy him a decent bottle. Spec’s is closed on Sunday but write a note saying you will buy a bottle tomorrow but make you you actually buy it. .
8. Last but not least, hand draw or create a certificate that gives Dad so many hours of work from one of his children.
