Downtown Columbus is always buzzing with new events and activities! Check out some of these exciting things to do Downtown to discover something new- or re-discover an old favorite.

Gallery Hop

Details: This great event lasts all summer long! The first Saturday of every month! Come enjoy live performers and vendors, while local galleries open their doors to all.

When: The first Saturday of every month.

Where: The Short North

 

Red White and BOOM 

Details: To celebrate Independence Day! Enjoy a parade, Children’s park, Taste of BOOM, and more! Ending in the largest fireworks display in Ohio! This is great for all ages! 

When: July 3rd Noon-11pm

Where: Downtown Columbus. The stages are located in Bicentennial Park, in Genoa Park (Washington Blvd.), Taste of BOOM! (Nationwide Blvd.), Nationwide Blvd. (Near Nationwide Arena), and on Long St. (at the corner of Neil Ave.)

 

Columbus Commons KickBall

Details: Enjoy the second session of Columbus Commons Kickball! Join a team or gather up some friends and register by July 2nd to play some kickball! July 17 - September 25 

Dates: July 17, 24 & 31, August 14 & 28, September 4,11, September 25 (playoff game), October 2 (makeup date).

Game Times: 5:45 pm, 6:45 pm, 7:45 pm

Maximum Number of Teams: 12

 

Jazz and Rib Fest

Details: Three stages will host the finest local, regional and international jazz artists, while BBQ pit masters serve up sizzling ribs, chicken and more. Savor the best ribs from around the country as 23 award-winning BBQ teams compete for the title of "Best Ribs". Admission is FREE!

When: July 18, 19, 20 Friday and Saturday, 11 a.m. – 11 p.m. Sunday, 11 a.m. – 8:30 p.m.

Where: Downtown Columbus, Ohio along the Arena District riverfront in McFerson Commons and North Bank Park.

 

Picnic with the Pops

Details: Enjoy live concerts in the park!

When: July 5, 12, 19, 25-26   6-8pm

Where: Columbus Bicentennial Pavilion in the Columbus Commons (160

S. High St.)
