Maybe a more appropriate question is, why wouldn't people live here? The Islands of Maple Grove is a small subdivision in the northwestern part of Maple Grove that is highly sought after. It's location can not be topped. It is right down the street from Rush Creek Elementary School, a fifteen minute drive to the junior High, and a nine minute drive to the senior high. It's minutes from convenience shopping, yet the development has a rural sort of feel because the countryside is knocking at it's back door. It's right next to a wildife area and close to Weaver Lake. The neighboring subdivsions are Maple Hill Forest and Gladstone.

What are the Houses Like?

The houses here are typically ramblers with 3-4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms, and gosh are they nice! They have 3,229-3,644 finished sq ft. You will see 2-3 car attached garages. The homes were constructed in 2002 and 2003. The lots are a little on the smaller end, ranging from .05-.11 acres, but the neighborhood and location and the houses completely make up for it. You have to see the location to really appreciate it. There is a mandatory homeowner's association here, but the monthly dues are reasonable. Because of the HOA, the neighborhood is maticulously maintained.

What's Going on Nearby the Islands of Maple Grove?

The Maple Grove Hospital is a fantastic facility and it's only a seven minute drive from the Islands of Maple Grove. Weaver Lake and Weaver Lake Park are a five minute drive. The Rush Creek Golf Club is also a five minute drive from the Islands of Maple Grove. There is also easy highway access minutes from the community.

Maple Grove has a great community center, and the city streets are lined with shopping and popular restaurants from take out to fine dining. There are many choices for places to worship in Maple Grove. Lakes, parks, and trails are abundant in Maple Grove and many are part of the Three Rivers Park District.

What Schools will the Kids Attend?
