I am sure this is a dumb questions for many of you who have been doing this for some time but maybe someone else could learn something from it as well. Can someone explain tags (tag cloud) to me. Do I need to add them myself? I have not been able to find any explanation of them anywhere.

The tags are those things that you enter on the "tag" line at the bottom of each of your blogs.

The tag cloud indicates what words-topics are the most prominent when looking at your blog history. If the word Michigan or Petoskey is larger than most other words, then you talk a lot about Michigan and-or Petoskey. Someone Googleing the word Petoskey may wind up at your blog or website.
