This past week I met a friend at Ferrara's Pizza & Pasta at 276 Eau Gallie Blvd in Indian Harbour Beach. This little Italian place is located next to Publix and Jade Palace. I was really looking forward to eating at Ferrara's because my friend had raved about the food there and I had heard other positive comments about it from a couple other people.
When I go to an Italian restaurant, my "litmus test" if you will is Eggplant Parmesan. I absolutely love eggplant, and, if a restaurant has great Eggplant Parmesan, then in my opinion, the restaurant passes the "test".
I have to regretfully say that I was not impressed by either the Eggplant Parmesan nor the side of spaghetti that came with it. The garlic bread knots that came with the meal were great! Warm, soft, garlicky and delicious, I could have done without the rest of the meal. Unfortunately, I really couldn't taste the eggplant, and the sauce, was just...mediocre.
None the less, I have heard such great things about this little eatery, that I will give it another shot just in case the kitchen was "off the mark" the day that I was there.
They do have what appears to be a great lunch deal, with 2 large slices of pizza and a drink for just under $5.00. So, perhaps I will check that out to try the pizza. Stay tuned for more!
