Take a photo today of your home's "Best Side"
There are many celebrities in the world that require any photographer to only take photos for what they have determined to be their "best side." If you have ever seen a photo of Mariah Carey, she demands that all photos of her are only from the right side of her face.
Here in Atlanta, in the middle of August, the grass has usually turned a muted, ugly shade of brown and doesn't do your home justice in any photos. When a potential buyer is looking at homes in the Atlanta, every detail in the photos count. The standards are high for buyers on-line, they now expect good quality photos or it's on to the next home. In a matter of seconds, your house has been eliminated. Your home could be having a "bad hair day" by not having the shrubs trimmed or the garage door open to show the clutter inside or spider webs surrounding the entry looking like it's ready for Halloween.
I always encourage homeowners to take a photo of their home's "best side" even if they have no plans on selling in the immediate future. You may find yourself in the middle of winter with a great job offer, and need to sell when it's not your home's "best side."
This has been a very unusual summer here in Atlanta. We have had a lot more rain, and the grass is actually a good color green for showing off your home in photos. Take the opportunity this weekend and take a photo of the "best side" of your home. You'll be happy you did when it does come time to sell.
