Don't you who get out in the country from time become nostalgic when you drive by a dilapidated old home place?  It will have large trees, outbuildings, animal pens, garden spot, but probably no chicken pen because the chickens roamed free and left nice droppings all over the yard for little kids to step in as they played hide-and-seek (ughhh!).  Shrubs will be overgrown but with Spring coming on little bulbs from so many years ago will be shooting up and starting to bloom.  There will certainly be an old storage shed that held no-telling-what.

Well, I listed that place this week.  You can actually buy it for $48,000.  You can fix up the house if you have energy to spare and don't mind walking through two bedrooms to get to the added on bathroom. (Functional obsolescence, you know.)

You activerainers who live in the big cities can't imagine something this cheap but we're in an area where two acres can still be obtained with this house on it.  country homecountry shed2 acresI'm going to show you a picture or two and if you know anyone looking for a place like this, send them on!  Home inspectors, feel free to practice on this one.

You have a beautiful piece of property there. I passed through AR on my trip from from AZ to CT about 2 weeks ago. What a pretty state. Good luck selling your listing!

Barbara, are you taking over Maureen's Bozo contest?  What is the title of the contest----I can go dig up some more pictures of Steve's "castle" to go with yours:)

sad smiley

Steve's castle was probably staged.  Mine is real.  And you sure know how to hurt a poor hard working realtor.  I'm glad I had the appropriate face to respond.  And where is the contest.  I need to see how to enter.

Doug, were they really that good or was Grandma's cooking just wonderful!

Charles, I wish the land would sell for this price.  Can't tell yet.
