I recently had the pleasure of seeing Bob Mould, American singer/songwriter, who’s been “at it” for a few decades. His style has always been loud rock and roll of which he’s never deviated or disappointed.
Bob Mould, guitarist and vocalist, is known for his alternative rock bands, Hüsker Dü in the 1980s and Sugar in the 1990s. Bob creates interesting melodies with such memorable “hooks” that they bring you back to hear more. He has a recently released album called Beauty & Ruin, of which he played several tracks at the Bowery Ballroom a few weeks ago. The Bowery Ballroom is a terrific venue to see artists because of the excellent acoustics and open floor plan.
Ryan Adams, himself a noted guitarist who’s just out with his own album, came on as a guest during the Hüsker Dü inspired encore. They played Bob’s music and it was a fantastic ending to a great performance.
Check out Bob Mould's performance of “The War” on Jimmy Kimmel Live and “I Don’t Know You Anymore” on Conan. He has great energy that just washes over you in waves. Don’t miss his live performance when he comes back to NYC.
