Sarasota County makes great effort to bring an amazing resource to Residents and Visitors alike, providing a large Food Pavilion, clean Restrooms, a selection of Outdoor Showers, Picnic Tables and Grills, and Children's Playground.

We celebrate the Spring in true Sandy-Style by hosting the annual Crystal Classic Master Sandsculpting Contest on the beach. One year, a TV film crew shot footage while they "blew up" the sculptures afterward (with permission naturally!). 

The Locals gather every Sunday Evening for the increasingly popular Drum Circle: A casual event drawing Drummers, Dancers, Singers, Musicians and hundreds (sometimes thousands) of Onlookers. With the rising interest in the area from National and International people, you never know WHO's going to show or WHAT's going to happen at the Beach!

While the Parking Lot is undergoing reconstruction, there are many options available to get you there with all of your gear. SCAT or Sarasota County Area Transit has two separate routes running through the Village and by the main Beach off and on again both the North and South Access Bridges. Rides are inexpensive: just $1.25 for Adult Fare with discounts for children, students and the Elderly. Even the Bus is Beach-Style!
