Ok, so this is my first time blogging. I will start by saying that I'm very excited about the forcasts for Real Estate this year! According to the National Association of Realtors, the market for existing homes will be stable but good this year. New construction won't pick up till the end of the year. I am not so excited about the weather forcast - it has been too snowy and FREEZING cold for too long, I am looking forward to warmer weather!
Here's a great tip for all homeowners: Since it IS so cold and dreary outside - why not start a little spring cleaning and organizing early this year. Get a jump on it now, and come spring - you'll be enjoying the beautiful Wisconsin landscape with family and friends instead of inside wahing windows! :)
Tip for all potential sellers: If you follow the above tip - why not go ahead and pack up all those items you don't use on a daily basis. You're moving anyways, right? Pack it now, get it out of the way, and that's less "stuff" for you to worry about AND less "stuff" for a buyer to have to try to look past! DE-CLUTTER! Buyer's like big, open, clean, neutral and tastefully decorated homes that are clutter free! Take advantage of the cold - just keep telling yourself : "I'm moving soon and this will just save me some time in the end!!"
OK - I really don't know what else to say, except I've noticed the pick up in the market (with the exception of the bitter cold last week) and am looking forward to helping so many more people find the home they've been looking for, or sell the one they've got!
